UGANDA BROADCASTING CORPORATION (UBC)

UBC is a 100% government owned media house that is mandated to educate, guide and entertain the public through 4 TV Channels and 11 radio stations in all regions of Uganda. UBC is rising to the occasion of its Diamond Jubilee (1963-2023) to harvest from the global community and avail to Ugandans some of the best corporate quality control and public advertising practices that build a strong national brand which will attract global clientele and investment as needed for a self-sustaining economy.

Welcome to the Best Brands Uganda, a corporate multimedia innovation platform designed to enhance quality assurance and marketing creativity for Uganda’s businesses across 12 key sectors of the economy. Under the Best Brands Uganda platform, UBC is bringing it to the attention of Uganda’s citizens that the growth of the corporate sector in the last 40 years has been phenomenal as can and will be demonstrated from the selected sectors.

Uganda’s economic growth monitoring organs including Uganda Bureau of Statics, Bank of Uganda and their external monitors, including the African Development and World Banks collaborate in their independent figures that Uganda’s Gross Domestic Product per capital has grown from a tiny 329.17 USD in 1986 to 934.34 USD in 2022 according to the World Bank’s economic growth Indicators. Per capita and ultimately national economic growth are both propelled by the production infrastructure of the corporate sector in is various sectors and products. Companies are created by ambitious entrepreneurs who are pursuing their prosperity dreams. The companies in turn create products which attract financing to purchase raw materials and logistic services resulting in sustainable livelihoods. These livelihoods are then reflected in the collective wealth generation that is technically known as Gross Domestic Product.

The emergence of strong corporate brands is the foundation of strong national economies because all public spending plans depend on taxing citizens as individuals and businesses. It for this reason that governments globally invest generously in supporting their national brands stand out competitively in the global market. As a media house mandated to Educate, Guide and Entertain citizens, UBC has for the purpose of strengthening the corporate sector designed the “Best Brands Uganda” platform upon which it will:
